CMEV has been involved in monitoring election related violence and malpractices in all national, provincial and majority of local government elections since 1997. Monitoring of election related violence and malpractices of General Election 2015 is also started with an improved data collection and information dissemination mechanism advanced with modern communication techniques. The second training workshop of CMEV is being conducted today in Colombo. Over 90 polling division based field monitors are participating at this residential workshop.
